Tom’s Burrito – don’t hesitate, don’t second guess yourself. It’s good.
It comes with carne asada, but personally I think carnitas is the way to go with it. Staff is nice enough to make the burrito half and half if you ask. Just make sure to have an appetite, it’s a big burrito.

INTERIOR:
Moderate-sized restaurant with an equally moderate number of tables and booths. Older feel, but well-maintained. Arrived early Wednesday evening, but there were only a few patrons. A couple of the few parking spaces outside the restaurant were even vacant.FOOD:
Complimentary chips and salsa placed on the table nearly as soon as I was seated. The chips were relatively ordinary, but the salsa was very fresh and mild in heat, albeit somewhat thin in consistency. Ordered the carne asada and carnitas soft shell tacos. Tasty! Both meats were tender and well-seasoned. Loved the guacamole atop the carnitas tacos.. it was light in consistency, almost whipped, and did not taste too strongly of avocado (personal preference). A small bowl of (somewhat) spicy green sauce served soon after the tacos added an extra bite to the tacos, particularly the carne asada.SERVICE:
Seated in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen entrance, yet the service was still on point. The workers were all kind and affable.OVERALL:
Great tacos for a great price! Though this restaurant seemed popular, a couple of LA dwellers actually never tried it (Hmm?) Really enjoyed the food and would return if in the area, but otherwise open to trying other nearby restaurants.

This is the real deal and a sure thing. We were down here for a business meeting and where starving. I found this gorgeous hole in the wall from yelp, and the food was incredible.
We ordered carnitas and shredded beef tacos, plus a few breakfast burritos. The customer service is fast, friendly and they are very efficient. If I’m ever in the area, I’ll most certainly be back.

Well what can I say…. AMAZING!!! Let me start by saying the service and the people are so nice and attentive. It’s a small place but it I’m ok with that. U can order out 2. Food is amazing and u can’t go wrong with any of their dishes. A must try place in the great city of Hawthorne

Fast, cheap, and delicious… that’s what she said, but, like, for real.
Everyone seemed to get the Toms burrito so I naturally jumped on that bandwagon too. I was not disappointed, at all. It had the right amount of spice and really filling. Only critique is that I wanted something to make it feel a little more fresh (adding salsa did the trick).
The burrito was so big I didn’t even eat half. When I come back I’m certainly going to force someone to split this with me.
Service was wonderful and my wallet was very happy too. Definitely check this place out if you’re flying in/out of LAX, or just because you feel like a really big burrito.

I’ve had this place marked for awhile now. I went on a Sunday night with my homegirl. We arrived around 8pm so thought it might be dead, but it was definitely happening and seemed to just get busier as time progressed throughout the evening.
We both ordered the Tom’s burrito. She had the menu version while I had the same but with shredded beef. I tried the carne asada and was impressed that it was so tender. The reason I never order carne asada at mexican restaurants is because it’s always tough and totally turns my taste buds off. I approve of theirs 100%.
There is no way you can finish one of these burritos on your own. I’d recommend splitting or preparing to take at least half of it to go. It was freaking delicious and I’ll definitely be going back! Oh the servers were very friendly too, which always helps :).
This is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant. Service is beyond great here and food is amazing!
Parking kinda sucks and we usually have to find residential parking (which isn’t horribly surprising given that this is LA lol).
You’re greeted immediately when you come in and they are SO welcoming. Service is some of the best I’ve experienced at any restaurant; everyone is friendly and service is prompt without feeling like you’re being rushed.
I usually get cheese enchiladas or a cheese enchilada and tamale combo. Combos come with rice and beans (beans are bomb here!) and as per usual you are served freshly made tortilla chips and salsa when you are seated. The salsa is really refreshing with a nice subtle kick and the tortilla chips are still hot when they’re served. Honestly you could order anything off the menu and be completely satisfied. There’s nothing inherently fancy or mind-blowing about the food; it’s just Mexican classics done right.
Definitely recommend if you’re craving some homemade-style Mexican food!

No complaints about this restaurant. Came here with my dad and husband last night after seeing reviews on yelp and I was not disappointed. First of all, the service was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and patient. We were waiting on our third person at the moment and they did not make us feel rushed. While we waited, we were offered samples of their different sauces. The waiters were very attentive, consistently making sure our drinks were filled and checking in to see if we had any concerns.
The food was good as well. I had the bean and cheese burrito and it was bigger than I thought I would be. The same goes for the tostada that my husband ordered. My dad had the vegetable soup.
Be sure when heading there, not to confuse it with a place not too far from this called Mi Zacatecas. This is a completely different place less than a mile away. Zacatecas is easy to miss (esp at night) because it’s tucked away. I’m looking forward to trying their micheladas on my next visit (:

Zacatecas was superb!!! Took the advice of our Yelp colleagues and had Tom’s burrito: A+!! I am also very picky on the chip/salsa front, and Zs did not disappoint: chips hot, fresh and plentiful; salsa in my “Top 5 ever”. I gave a 5th star for the friendly service. We were welcomed immediately upon entry. Gentleman introduced himself, shook hands, and seated us. The rest of the service continued in the same vein–friendly and efficient. Can’t wait for my return visit!!
Cheers!
RSLoved this place. The manager and the staff were supper friendly. The food is really good.
They accommodate me with my service dog which it was very nice of them in spite of a size a restaurant.
Will differently come back.

Came back after trip and we were not disappointed again. Service excellent as before and the food to die for. We had chilaquiles with green sauce which was spicy but delicious. My husband had the steak picado which had a lot of flavor. We also had the homemade flan which was also exquisite. We will definitely be back when we’re once again in the area 🙂

A local favorite, I don’t know why I waited so long to review it. I suppose it’s one of those local restaurants you don’t want others to find out about because it’s so well known in your community.
Whenever I come here I come for the chicken enchiladas! I usually get the red ones because the greens ones are too spicy for my taste.
Also, their chips and salsa are bomb! Back to my chicken enchiladas, you may feel the combination that comes with beans and rice. It’s. A hefty plate that should satisfy you. On other occasions I’ve also had their burritos that are insanely big and yummy.
Lastly, the service is always excellent. Very polite and helpful. Make sure to check it out, you will not be disappointed.

The first thing you’ll notice about this place is the exceptional customer service. The owner himself welcomed us and made us feel at ease. If that wasn’t the owner, then he was a great actor. I thought the free chips and salsa were stupendous. I had a burrito and it was great. Very solid place, but definitely a bit hard to find some good parking. My meal was $16 if you include tax and tip.

We were working around the neighborhood and decided to grab lunch at this location. So glad we did. We were greeted by friendly workers and quickly seated a party of 8 right before the lunch rush. I ordered the carne with sauce combo plate and it was all delicious including the warm tortillas. The Sauce was spicy but soooo good reminded me of my moms cooking. The place has limited seating but they serve pretty quickly and don’t have to wait too long to be seated and served. Parking is limited tho. Overall great hole in the wall and do intend to come back when I’m in the area.

We found this place after landing in LAX, coming from a six hours flight that got delayed for 2 hours and had no food – we were starving and in need of seriously good food.
We reached the place at 3:30Pm and only few customers were there. The waiter was super attentive and fast (thank you!!). My daughter wanted to eat flautas, which were not on the menu, and they gladly took the order and made us super tasty flautas.
Their flan was even more amazing than the food.
