Zacatecas is a family Mexican restaurant in a two-story shopping center at 13737 South Inglewood Avenue in Hawthorne. Chips and salsa come to the table when you sit down.

The Menu

Breakfast covers huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, machaca with eggs and huevos con chorizo, each with rice and beans. Through the day there are numbered combination plates, deluxe burritos topped with enchilada sauce, melted cheese and guacamole, soft and hard-shell tacos, enchiladas and tostadas.

The seafood list is long for a place this size: caldos of shrimp, fish or siete mares; shrimp a la diabla, al mojo de ajo, rancheros or as aguachile; fried mojarra; ceviche; and oysters by the half dozen. Portions are large, and the staff will help vegetarians build a meal, such as a wet vegetarian burrito.
